Psychology at Leeds

"The Institute of Psychological Sciences offers a BSc Psychology degree that draws on the wealth of research undertaken by academic staff. Subject with electrodes and headphones Students will come face-to-face with some of the most talented researchers in the UK, right from the start of their programme of study. The topics covered include those required by the British Psychological Society, and the course is fully accredited. The ethos is of an 'apprenticeship' model, whereby students have the opportunity to work with and learn from psychologists with high levels of expertise in their respective subject areas. There is stress on practical work - 'hands on' psychology - that is key to understanding the subject, and students are taught to design, run, analyse and write up their own research. This degree equips students with excellent skills in numeracy, literacy, critical thinking and analysis, and puts them in a strong position. Graduates with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Leeds have a very broad range of career options."
