Medical Research Council (MRC) Doctoral Training Centre Studentships
The Institute welcomes enquiries in regard to two studentships which are offered on the basis of competition to strong applicants.
MRC-DTG Studentships 2012 intake:
Project: Glucose control, incidence of hypoglycaemia and cognitive function.

Project: Using self-generated validity to reduce smoking initiation in adolescents.

The projects will be interdisciplinary and encompass current research in the Faculty of Medicine & Health and the Faculty of Biological Sciences, together with research in other Schools of the University that falls within the MRC remit and the Doctoral Training Portfolio. Each year, for three years, at least three studentships in these priority areas will be awarded.
These studentships are now being advertised to potential students on the Faculty Graduate School funding web pages. Applicants are asked to select and prioritise a maximum of three projects.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 1st March 2012.
